Horrific Visions Revisited

N'Zoth's corruption returns once again. Previously introduced in Patch 8.3, players will once again return to corrupted versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar where they will either succeed or succumb to the insanity. Here's a few notable features coming with our revisit of Horrific Visions:

Solo or Group Queue

Horrific Visions will be available for queue solo or as a group. For players looking for some assistance, you will be able to invite a Construct of Soridormi who will serve as a companion NPC. This NPC will be able to Tank, DPS, or Heal and is not affected by sanity!

Corruption Returning: Rune Enchants

A new version of Corruptions is one of the more significant parts returning with Revisited Horrific Visions. Originally introduced in Battle for Azeroth, Corruption was a unique gearing system that gave powerful gear effects at the price of some negative effects as well. This time around, the negative effects of Corruption have been removed meaning these Corruptions will only benefit players.

New Currency: Displaced Corrupted Mementos

A new Displaced Corrupted Mementos currency will drop out of Horrific Visions in Patch 11.1.5. This currency can be spent at vendors for previous rewards along with new rewards including mounts, toys, transmog, and even corruption rune enchantments.

Displaced Corrupted Mementos can be spent at vendors located in the Coreway in Dornogal. Among the available rewards are:

Mounts: such as Corruption of the Aspects (40,000 Mementos)
Toys and battle pets
Transmog appearances: including cosmetic sets inspired by Corruption
Helmet rune enchantments: such as Lesser Rune of Twilight Devastation (500 Mementos)
Weapons: with item levels ranging from 632 to 658, available after completing specific achievements

Dastardly Duos Event

Coming later into the patch is a six-week event called Dastardly Duos. This event is centered around revisiting old boss encounters with a chance at a variety of cosmetics, toys, and loot! Here's a short preview of what we know so far:

Players will step up against 'animatronic' version of past bosses.
There are various consumables and buffs players can earn throughout the event to assist in the fight against bosses.
Earn points for securing kills, damage done, and more.

Dastardly Duos Hubs

There will be three main hubs for this event: one in Stormwind, one in Orgrimmar, and one in Dornogol. Located at each hub are three main NPCs:

Vinnie Sweets: Offers Weekly Quests.
Xyggie Marou: Allows Players to Queue in Dastardly Duos Instances.
Wodin the Troll-Servant: Reward and Food Service Vendor.

Tyrannotort's Treat Mount

Available with this event is a new mount called Tyrannotort's Treat. With each week of Dastardly Duos there is a weekly quest that players can complete for Champion-track gear and some other goodies. During Week 5 of the event, completing the weekly quest will reward players with this mount.

New Faction: Flame's Radiance

A new faction is coming with Patch 11.1.5 called Flame's Radiance. This faction was formed under veterens Thaed Pyremaker and Mylton Wyldbraun to defend the Arathi against Sureki forces after the defeat of Queen Ansurek.

This faction will feature new quests and activities thorughout Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet to earn Renown and additional rewards. The Flame's Radiance faction will feature ten levels of Renown with new rewards available with each level to earn!

Flame's Radiance Tabard

One of the more notable rewards coming with the Flame's Radiance faction is a Tabard that will update based on your Renown Level with the Flame's Radiance.

New Scenario: Nightfall

Alongside the Flame's Radiance faction comes a new scenario named Nightfall. In this scenario, players will join tasks forces with the Flame's Radiance to help defend the Arathi against the Sureki.

Here are a few notable features coming with this scenario:

New armor sets available with participating in this scenario.
A new color variation of the Delver's Dirigible.
Players can earn new buffs which increase your strength while in Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet.

Overall, there is a lot of story waiting to be discovered within these zones and players will get to dive deeper with this scenario.

Winds of Mysterious Fortune Leveling Event

A convenient leveling event is also scheduled for part of Patch 11.1.5 called Winds of Mysterious Fortune. During this event, players will receive the Winds of Mysterious Fortune which provides the following buffs:

20% XP Buff from Levels 10-80.
200% Dragonflight Reputation Buff.
100% War Within Reputation Buff.
Quests and Kills in Dragon Isles & Khaz Algar reward Mysterious Satchels.
Mysterious Satchels reward equipment, cosmetics, and combat & experience potions.
Potential Daily Bonus rewards.

🪙 How to Obtain Cartel Curious Chips

To obtain the new Cartel Curious Chips, you must complete a weekly quest that requires you to:

Defeat 4 bosses in the Delves of Deepwoken raid.

Limits:

Each character can hold up to 6 Chips maximum.
First-time completion: You will receive 3 Cartel Curious Chips.
Following weeks: You will receive 1 Chip upon completion.

🛒 Where to Spend the Chips

You can spend the Chips at the new NPC:

Consultant Wrexxlein, located in Dornogal, near the Grand Bank.

🔓 What You Can Buy:

Weapons, trinkets, and other special items from the Delves of Deepwoken raid.
Cost for each item: 3 Cartel Curious Chips.

🎯 Requirements to Purchase Items:

Heroic-level gear: You must have defeated the corresponding bosses in any difficulty.
Mythic-level gear: You must have defeated the corresponding bosses at least once on Mythic difficulty.

⚡ Important Note: Blizzard (via Community Manager Kaivax) mentioned that this system is an experiment, and they are looking for player feedback.

Turbocharge Buff Coming on May 14

Starting on May 14, the Turbocharge Buff will bring the following changes:

Heroic and Mythic grade gear can now be upgraded up to 8 levels (instead of the current 6).
The cap on Emblems will be removed.
Valor Stones will become Bind-on-Account until the end of the season.
The drop rates for Bind-on-Account gear in Mythic+ dungeons will be doubled.
Progress and rewards from Scenarios will be significantly increased.

New Gear Upgrade Opportunities

Items crafted using a Spark of Fortune can now be further upgraded using a Power Matrix.
This will allow the item to be upgraded up to level 6.
