Starting the Midnight Pre-Patch Event

To gain access to the Midnight pre-patch event, you must first complete the questlines starting withThe Cult Within The Cult Within /The Cult Within The Cult Within. Completing this storyline unlocks the weekly quests for the Twilight Ascension and two rewards: the Twilight's Blade Tabard Twilight's Blade Tabard tabard and the %s, Definitely Not a Cultist title. This also unlocks Twilight's Blade World Quests in the Twilight Highlands area for your Warband.

Twilight Ascension Pre-Patch Event

Once the main questline for the pre-patch is complete, you will gain access to a plethora of activities in the Twilight Highlands: Twilight's Blade World Quests and Twilight's Blade Rare spawns. Participating in these will earn you  Twilight's Blade Insignia, which can be used to purchase rewards from the pre-patch event. Here's how many Twilight's Blade Insignia you can obtain by completing activities in the Twilight Highlands:
Both World Quests and active Rare ritual events will show up on your map.

World Quests show up every 12 hours and follow the standard World Quest system. The Rares summoned by the Twilight's Blade, however, are a little more involved.

Twilight's Blade Rares

Rares during the Twilight Ascension event spawn in a rotation in the Twilight Highlands. Every 10 minutes, the Twlight's Blade will start an event in the zone, with the zone-wide announcement The Twilight's Blade have begun summoning more forces. Defeat their ritual leaders! Once this event is active, the Rare is spawned but enshrouded in an immunity shield. To break that shield you will need to participate in the event, which has 3 stages:
  • Stop the Ritual: Kill Twilight's Blade forces and disrupt their camp.
  • Slay the Ritualists: Kill the three ritualists shielding the Rare mob.
  • Twilight's Champion: The Twilight's Blade rare is now vulnerable. Kill them!

At the top of every hour

In addition to this, at the top of every hour, an Ephemeral Void will spawn at the Twilight's Blade camps during the Rare events with the zone-wide announcement, An Ephemeral Void has manifested in the Highland Forest! You interact with it by destroying Disparate Ephemera scattered around the camps. Destroying enough of them will summon the rare Voice of the Eclipse. This rare is exclusive to the Ephemeral Void sub-event and is also required for the Two Minutes to Midnight achievement.undefined

Rewards

The event offers numerous exclusive rewards for active and returning players alike. Most of these rewards are purchased with  Twilight's Blade Insignia, the currency obtained from participating in Twilight Ascension activities.

Vendors

There are two vendors for the Twilight Ascension Midnight pre-patch event. Armorer Kalinovan sells iLvl-121 Champion 1/8 catch-up gear for alts, and Materialist Ophinell sells all the cosmetic rewards for the event. They're both located at the elven resistance camp at the southern area of the Twilight Highlands.
